Rebates for embedded network residential customers
Bill relief for customers on embedded networks
What is an embedded network?
If you live in a caravan park, retirement village or in other circumstances where your landlord bills you separately for your electricity use from a metered connection, you live on an embedded electricity network.
What help is available?
For 2024-25, there are three programs that are running to provide embedded network customers with payments to assist with electricity prices.
The three programs are:
- National Energy Bill Relief – this is a two-year partnership between the Australian and State Governments that provides a $250 payment for eligible concession customers. That program also ran in 2023-24, and access for that year has now closed. There is one payment left available under this program.
- Supercharged Renewable Energy Dividend – this is a once-off payment of $250 from the Tasmanian Government. This is open to any residential connection on an embedded network, there are no concession requirements.
- Energy Bill Relief Extension 2024-25 – this is a once-off payment of $300 from the Australian Government. This is open to any residential connection on an embedded network, there are no concession requirements.
