Tasmanian Renewable Energy Action Plan
In November 2020, the Government legislated a new Tasmania Renewable Energy Target.
Our goal aims to increase the State’s renewable energy output by 200 per cent based on 2022’s renewable energy figures. So, in 2040, Tasmania aims to produce twice as much clean power as we did in 2022.
To grow our renewable energy sector sustainably over the next 20 years, the Government has set out its vision and suite of actions in the Tasmanian Renewable Energy Action Plan (PDF 483.1 KB), Tasmanian Renewable Hydrogen Action Plan (PDF 2.2 MB) and the Renewable Energy Coordination Framework (PDF 2.6 MB).
We encourage you to read them.
