The Energy Saver Loan Scheme is Closing Soon
The Energy Saver Loan Scheme will close to new applications on Monday, 1 September 2025 at 11:59 pm. After this time, customers will no longer be able to submit applications.
The Energy Saver Loan Scheme has been offering Tasmanian households, small businesses and community organisations interest-free loans of up to $10,000 to invest in energy efficiency measures since October 2022.
When first announced, the scheme was expected to support up to $50 million in loan value and would operate for up to three years.
The success of the scheme has been such that the Government has already made available additional funding to extend the life of the scheme.
In fact, the scheme has now supported more than $60 million in loans – a total of over 7,300 individual loans to households and small businesses. However, the popularity of the scheme has been such that all the available funding is now exhausted.
The scheme will be closing to new applications on Monday, 1 September 2025 at 11:59 pm.
